    Le Pré Curieux

    Located on the edge of the lake at Évian’s west entrance, there is a charming colonial style house dating back to 1870 with a wooded park spreading out over 3.5 hectares and restored by the landscaper Laurent Daune. This is a unique site to discover the beauty of the wetlands.

    La Savoie Barque

    Discover what it’s like to sail on the wolrd’s largest lateen-rigged boat. La Savoie is a replica of a boat built in 1896 at Belote near to Geneva by Prudent Borcard for the Peray de Meillerie family where she had her home port.

    Agricool Petting Farm

    The Agricool Farm in St-Paul-en-Chablais, is a petting farm and offers workshops for all ages. Entry is free for children under 2 years old, €6 for 2 to 12 year olds, and €8 from 13 years old and over.

    Le Palais Lumière in Évian

    This jewel of Évian’s heritage were formerly thermal baths, and is home to an exhibition space and a convention centre of international renown.

    This year, between 24th June to 29th September 2019, an exhibition entitled “German Expressionism” was held (including collections from Aargauer Kunsthaus in Switzerland, Osthaus Museum Hagen and from the Institut für Kulturausch in Tubingen in Germany).

    Guided tours are organised daily at 2:30 pm. Otherwise, you are free to visit every day from 10 am-7 pm (except Monday, open 2-7 pm only).

    Designed to showcase the historical and municipal iconographic archives, here you will discover “Goûter au paradis, Anna de Noailles sur les rives du Léman”.

  • Abbaye-abondance

    The Abondance Abbey

    Founded in the 12th century, the Notre-Dame abbey is the hallmark of the Abondance valley.
    The 14th century convent buildings are a prominent landmark in the Abondance village. This is where the monks lived or where pilgrims were welcomed.

    Guided tours are organised throughout the summer, for more information and reservations call in at the Thollon Tourist Office.

    The Saint-Paul-en-Chablais Church

    The bell tower in the Saint-Paul-en-Chablais church was destroyed by a fire in 1906. It had an onion dome bell tower, which is a typical Haut-Savoie architectural trait. The bell tower was identically reconstructed in 2012.

    In July – August free visits are possible on Tuesdays at 6 pm, reservations are required in the Town Hall.
